If the Devil was a corporation, his name would be Monsanto. But don’t take my word for it. In 2013, they were voted the evilest corporation (http://www.ibtimes.com/monsanto-named-2013s-most-evil-corporation-new-poll-1300217).
But what does this have to do with Marijuana?
Well, Monsanto created the first genetically modified strain of marijuana (http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/monsanto-creates-first-genetically-modified-strain-of-marijuana/)
Note: I do NOT agree with the positive tone of that article. It’s NOT a good thing.
Just knowing a few nuggets of Monsanto’s history is enough to know that their involvement in ANYTHING isn’t a good thing. It’d be like having Jeffrey Dahmer as part of your book club. I mean, yeah, he might have some interesting insights regarding the books, but stay away from his snack platter.
A while back, Bayer ( the largest pharmaceutical company in the world) bought Monsanto for $66 billion.
Monsanto and Scott’s Miracle-Gro (Scotts sells the Monsanto produced “Roundup”) are in bed together.
And a company called “Hawthorne” (which is just a front group for Scotts) purchased (at least) four major cannabis growing/plant nutrient companies – General Hydroponics, Botanicare, Vermicrop, and Gavita.

So why is all of this specifically bad for the medicinal marijuana industry? Well, to answer that, you first need to understand WHO Monsanto and Bayer are. So over the next few articles, I’ll try to give you some detailed info regarding the history of both companies, and then how it is Hell for the MM industry.
Monsanto is basically trying to genetically modify the world into their own image and poison all those who resist.
One of their first ever products was saccharin, which was sold to Coke as a sweetener – even though it was known to BE POISONOUS!
A few poisonous decades later, they (along with other chemical companies) produced and provided numerous strong herbicides during the Vietnam War – namely, “Agent Orange”.
The herbicides were apparently used to remove forest cover and crops. The United States sprayed more than 20 million gallons of these herbicides over Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos for 10 years between 1961 and 1971. Agent Orange was the most used (and potent) herbicide of the bunch. It contained the deadly chemical dioxin. Dioxin can cause cancer, birth defects, rashes, and severe psychological and neurological damage. And this would affect the Vietnamese AND U.S. soldiers in the area.

Eventually, Monsanto partnered with I. G. Farben (Which is where Bayer comes from) to help introduce aspartame (a fucking neurotoxin!) into the food supply! And a partner of theirs actually created hundreds of internal “studies” claiming aspartame was safe. Seriously, for whatever (evil overlord) reasons, Monsanto knowingly and willingly (and apparently desperately) WANTED humans to ingest poisons and neurotoxins. So much so that they would spend extra money to falsify studies and hire legal teams so as to allow them to keep poisoning their customer base.
And if that’s not enough, Monsanto is also trying to kill off all the bees!
Monsanto’s GMO plants are designed to self-pollinate – basically taking away the jobs of the bees. And when bees try to pollinate one of the GMO plants or flowers, it gets poisoned and dies.
Monsanto’s toxic herbicide Roundup (Sold by Scotts) is designed to basically kill anything and everything that isn’t one of their GMO plants (including the health and well-being of humans).
They force farmers to use their seeds and the ones that refuse, mysteriously find all their crops dead because, well, Roundup…
Monsanto’s seeds are Roundup-resistant though. Synthetic, chemically designed seeds that can withstand pure poison. And that’s what they grow all their (YOUR) food with. Sounds swell… (*rolls eyes so hard they fall out of my head*)
It’s the true definition of attack of the killer tomatoes…

JUST with that little bit of history alone, it should be clear as to why having Monsanto moving into any specific industry is terrifying. But then they were purchased by Bayer which would probably even cause the Devil to be like, “Whoa, that’s TOO evil…”
